Online Guidance
Working online is different in many ways from working face to face, so here are a few guidelines to help you get the most from your session.
Firstly, we agree on using the platform ‘Zoom’ to use for our sessions.
I will send you an email invitation with a link which you will need to click on and at the start time of your session.
I will be ready at the time agreed for the session to start. You will be held in a ‘virtual waiting room’ and I will give you access at the start of the session.
Prior to the session please check that you are in a good spot for a strong Wi-Fi signal.
Please be somewhere quiet, private, with the door closed and without interruption.
Please turn off your phone or put it on silent.
Ideally use a tablet, laptop, or iPad.
If you need to use your phone please have it propped up on a suitable surface, not held in your hand.
Have a glass of water or a drink to hand.
Have some tissues available.
Be sitting somewhere comfortably, but not in front of a window as I will not be able to see you clearly.
Have access to a clock/watch so you can manage your time during the session.
If we lose connectivity at any time during the session, I will try to reconnect once but if no luck, I will then ring you to check if you would like to reconnect and continue the session later, another day or the following week.
If you do not answer the phone following my second try, I will wait for you to call me back to re-book a further appointment & follow up with a text message.
